Open House … Literally

In 2011, Matthew Mazzotta turned the theater world inside out.  Well, actually, he turned a house inside out.  And that house became a community theater that seats 100 people.

In an effort to defy what is assumed possible, and in conjunction with the Coleman Center for the Arts in York, Alabama, Mazzotta designed a theater that would fold up into the shape of a house.  Or a house that would unfold into a theater, if that’s easier for you to imagine.

But you don’t have to imagine it!  Take a gander at these:
