In both of my kids’ rooms, I really feel like the rugs pulled everything together.
In the animal nursery, the rug matched the crib comforter, and in my toddler’s “big girl room,” we found a patterned rug that pulled colors from her comforter and was bordered in the purple shade in which I’d painted her walls.
Either way, rugs are a fun element to add to a room. Even a carpeted one. Which is why I’m sharing these gorgeous rugs. Hopefully they’ll inspire some fun for your little one’s bedrooms and playrooms!

Joss & Main is currently featuring a home decor collection inspired by the classic Christmas movie Home Alone.
The collection mirrors the furniture, decor, and thematic elements found in the movie.
It brought a smile to my face.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces:

If you follow my blog, you know I love beautiful light fixtures. I’m even a little obsessed with them.
I love how light fixtures are necessary, but can also function as a work of art, an expression of your personality.
Anyway, today I wanted to share with you some of my favorites from Foscarini:
I find the subtle white palette of the fixture itself that projects the light in varieties of patterns and overlapping textures that add life to a space.

I am loving this pool side daybed. I look at it, and instantly I’m relaxed. I can imagine myself nestled into the cushions, coffee (or lemonade) in one hand, a good book in the other….
I think one of the big reasons I’m attracted to this daybed is the naturalness of the shape. It has an organic flow to it that represents a conch shell. The built-in table that seems to spiral out into the roomy, curved cushion and the ottoman that’s a natural extension of the shell shape. I almost feel like I could lay my ear down on the ottoman and hear the ocean.
It all shouts “beach” to me. And I love the beach.
