Vintage Loft Inspired Furniture

When I visited One Kings Lane, I was excited to see a new collection of furniture with a vintage loft style.

Here are my favorite pieces:

Metal Letter M

Smith-Corona Typewriter w/ Case

Industrial Gauges w/ Stands, S/3

Blue Metal Coil

French Award Trophy Plaque, 1976

Stylish Rugs for Kids

Dexter Rug, Neutral/Blue

In both of my kids’ rooms, I really feel like the rugs pulled everything together.

In the animal nursery, the rug matched the crib comforter, and in my toddler’s “big girl room,” we found a patterned rug that pulled colors from her comforter and was bordered in the purple shade in which I’d painted her walls.

Either way, rugs are a fun element to add to a room. Even a carpeted one. Which is why I’m sharing these gorgeous rugs. Hopefully they’ll inspire some fun for your little one’s bedrooms and playrooms!

Beautiful Lighting from Foscarini

If you follow my blog, you know I love beautiful light fixtures.  I’m even a little obsessed with them.

I love how light fixtures are necessary, but can also function as a work of art, an expression of your personality.

Anyway, today I wanted to share with you some of my favorites from Foscarini:

Rituals

Tress

Big Bang

I find the subtle white palette of the fixture itself that projects the light in varieties of patterns and overlapping textures that add life to a space.

Time to Decorate for Fall!

Well, it’s actually still 92 degrees in Florida, but a change in decor can help us look forward to the cooler weather!

Here are some of my favorite ideas from Better Homes and Gardens:

candle in chesnuts

white tableware

gourds in dome

All Weather Woven Resin Daybed

I am loving this pool side daybed.  I look at it, and instantly I’m relaxed.  I can imagine myself nestled into the cushions, coffee (or lemonade) in one hand, a good book in the other….

I think one of the big reasons I’m attracted to this daybed is the naturalness of the shape.  It has an organic flow to it that represents a conch shell.  The built-in table that seems to spiral out into the roomy, curved cushion and the ottoman that’s a natural extension of the shell shape.  I almost feel like I could lay my ear down on the ottoman and hear the ocean.

It all shouts “beach” to me.  And I love the beach.
