A reclaimed water reservoir is being constructed in Pasco County. The current Wesley Center Wastewater Treatment Facility is located east of I-75, about halfway between State Roads 54 and 52. The new facility will be just north of the current one, on Boyette Road.
It was begun in July of 2013 and is set to be completed by February 2015, with an estimated cost of $31.4 million.
The reservoir will hold 500-million-gallons of reclaimed water, increasing availability of reclaimed water for lawn and landscape irrigation for residents of Pasco.
It will provide increased storage for the Pasco County Master Reuse System, and its purple pipes that distribute water throughout the county.
Below are before and projected after photos of the site, and photos of the ongoing construction.
